Josh and I went to our 16 week appointment yesterday and even though we didn't get to see our little Sweet Pea, we did get to hear the most precious sound in the world...it's little heartbeat. We had seen it two different times which was also amazing but getting to hear it was incredible!! And loud...and FAST :) Such a blessing to get to hear it when you still can't feel it or see it!!
We were a little disappointed because we won't get to go back for the "big" sonogram until July 19th which is a little later than we were expecting. There were only two doctors in Lubbock who do the really detailed 3-D sonograms and one of them just moved. The other doctor is taking up all the slack which pushed us back a little. Darn. But as I told Josh last night, this just gives us a few more weeks of enjoying the pregnancy before the mass chaos of planning/doing a nursery, buying clothes, baby showers and everything else hits (although we are REALLY excited about that, too!)
So thankful for all life's little blessings and for that sweet little heartbeat we got to hear yesterday!
