19(+) Months

Well I'm a little late in posting but couldn't completely miss her 19 month blog. Things are still a little crazy around here but it really hasn't been too terrible. We are half-way packed up and some of it even moved and the rest is a lot of stuff we won't be able to do until the very end. Miss Priss really does keep me laughing all day, MOST days! She has the funniest personality. I know, typical mom statement, but she really does make us laugh. I think some of it is that she doesn't say a whole lot but between her signing and what few words she says--she gets her point across.

Probably one of the things that makes me laugh the most is she nods her heads ALL THE TIME. She nods to get permission. She nods when she knows she really shouldn't be doing something but she thinks its ok and is trying to convince you it is. She nods when you tell her to chew and she has a mouth full and wants more. She also says HI all the time. She says it when she sees you but also when she knows she is about to be in trouble---she will smile sweetly, say hi, and then usually run at you with her lips pursed for a kiss. Yes, I know we may be in trouble. 

We have become obsessed with our baby doll and have it with us most of the time. She wants to nap and sleep with it. Its the first thing she says in the morning and if she isn't playing with it she will usually stop in the middle of playing and yell and sign BABY and go find her. She wraps her up, feeds her, pats and ssshhhhh's her, takes her for a ride in the shopping cart, shares her food---it really makes me excited to see her with her new sister in July! She is going to be the best big sister! 

Just in case we ever lose the curls (I HOPE NOT), I wanted to be sure and get a picture of how curly it is!

At 19 months:

-she could live outside in the dirt or on the sidewalk with some chalk

-2 more teeth have come through so we are up to 14!

-still LOVES books

-wearing size 4 diapers

-wearing 18 months and some 24 months

-sleeping about 12 hours a night
-one nap and its actually been over 2 hours a few times! (This is HUGE!)
-loves stuffed animals and dolls--especially her dolls lately
-loves puzzles
-has really starting enjoying coloring and playing with playdoh
-karate kicks 
-jumps 
-makes a noise (kinda like gagging) if you say anything is "dirty", "nasty", "shooey"
-still doesn't say much but signs a lot
-says BABY and DADDY constantly. She has started trying to say more but those are the two she will say consistently and very well (and very hick sounding!)
